Features

  • Three Designs Engineered for Use with Thorlabs Scan Lenses (See Table Below)
  • Mounted in an SM1 or SM05 Threaded Lens Tube
  • Engraved with Item # for Easy Identification

These single glass dispersion compensation blocks are designed for use with our LSM scan lenses. The glass type and thickness were chosen so that the dispersion matches the first and second order dispersion of the LSM scan lenses. The dispersion-compensating block is meant to be placed in the reference arm before the mirror, while the scan lens is placed in the sample arm. This configuration creates an identical amount of dispersion in each leg of the interferometer. Our dispersion compensators are mounted in either an SM1-threaded lens tube or SM05-threaded lens tube engraved with the item #.

Hi! Do you have dispersion data for the compensators, like GDD vs wavelength curves? Or maybe information about the exact thicknesses and glasses for each of them. Thanks!

Hi, it is not a feedback regarding the product, but shipping information. I have made an order of a CLS-SL through my agent company, and expected a fast shipping based on your website's information (3-5 days). But, to my surprise, I got a call from the company saying it will be available 2-3 months later. Please let me know. Thank you.

Response from Tim at Thorlabs: This scan lens is suitable for use with an Olympus 180mm tube lens. The ITL200 Nikon tube lens is used in their research grade microscopes and can be used with Olympus objectives as well. However, we must be aware that magnification will not be what is noted, but slightly higher. As Nikon uses a 200mm focal length tube lens as opposed to this and standard Olympus design of 180mm focal length tube lenses, the magnification will be 200/180 times greater.

I would like to know if this scan lens would also be suitable for use with Olympus 180 mm tube lens and olympus objectives. I imagine that it is not advisable to mix the Nikon tube lens with our Olympus objectives.

Response from Tim at Thorlabs: Thank you for contacting us. I will send you the .zmx file directly.

Hello, I'd like to model to the LSM03-VIS in my optical design software, but it can only import ZMX files, not ZAR files. Is there any chance you could send me either 1) a ZMX version of the prescription info for the LSM03-VIS, or 2) simply a text version of that info, specifically the glass types, that I could enter by hand in my software? I can see from the STEP model what the geometry of the lenses is, but I don't know what kind of glass each one uses. Thank you!
