Fiber Polarization Management

Thorlabs offers a variety of fiber-based products designed to manipulate the polarization state of light in a fiber. We offer manual and motorized paddle-based polarization controllers, as well as a fiber squeezer. Our fused fiber combiners/splitters polarize light using continuous fused fiber junctions, which support higher powers than fiber-based combiners/splitters, which incorporate micro optics. Faraday mirrors with fiber pigtails return light at a 90° orthogonal polarization state relative to the input signal. FiberBench-based polarization controllers provide a modular platform for manipulating light in a free-space environment. Our PM FC/APC patch cables with heating wire allow ultra-high-precision alignment of the polarization with the PM axis of the fiber. We also offer in-line fiber polarizers and polarizing fiber.
