Adaptive Optics

Adaptive Optics (AO) was originally developed for the field of Astronomy to remove image blurring aberrations induced by wavefronts propagating through Earth’s atmosphere. Thorlabs has developed imaging solutions that utilize AO technology to provide wavefront corrections leading to aberration-free imaging. We currently offer a selection of MEMS Deformable Mirrors (DM), Shack-Hartmann Wavefront Sensors, and AO kits.
