Thorlabs PAX1000 Optical Polarimeter System with High Dynamic Range Firmware Changelog --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This firmware is a device internal program for PAX1000 Optical Polarimeter System Installation Instruction ------------------------ In order to update the PAX1000 firmware, the firmware image (file extension *.dfu) and the Thorlabs DFU-Wizard are required. The DFU-Wizard is a software tool to upload a firmware image to the PAX100. You will find it installed to your computer after downloading and installing the Thorlabs PAX Software package from our web site. There (tab "Firmware") the up-to-date firmware image can be found as well. Please download it and remember the location on your computer where you saved it to. 1. Switch on the PAX1000 and connect it with the supplied USB cable to the computer with Thorlabs PAX Software package installed. The computer recognizes the connected device and installs the required driver software. 2. Start the DFU Wizard from Startmenu > All Programs > Thorlabs > Device Firmware Upgrade Wizard > DFU Wizard 3. In the Welcome screen click Next > to continue. 4. Click Browse to select the downloaded *.dfu file, then Select and Next > to continue. 5. In the Select Target Device the PAX1000 should be listed. Select the PAX1000 and click Start. 6. The DFU Wizard switches the PAX1000 to DFU upload mode and begins to transfer the firmware image. The progress can be observed at the DFU Wizard. Do NOT interrupt the process, this may cause your PAX1000 to become inoperable! 7. When the transfer has completed click Finish.
