“Thorlabs is thrilled to expand our life science offerings through the addition of Burleigh’s well-known and respected precision piezoelectric technologies,“ said Alex Cable, President and Founder of Thorlabs. “Electrophysiology is a rapidly expanding field; by adding Burleigh’s products to our growing line of imaging systems and components, we believe that Thorlabs is well positioned to foster the forward movement of electrophysiology research.”
“The divesture of the Burleigh products will allow Lumen Dynamics to focus on its core business of delivering innovative light-based solutions to cellular imaging, medical and optoelectronics assembly, and UV printing industries,” said Allan Firhoj, President and CEO of Lumen Dynamics. “We are pleased that the Burleigh products fit so well within the Thorlabs portfolio.”
Thorlabs is committed to the strategic development of the Burleigh line and providing support to its new and existing customers.
