Thorlabs’ high-performance polarization-maintaining fiber couplers use a unique fusing technique. This fiber coupler has a 90/10 coupling ration with FC/PC connectors. Thorlabs also offers 50/50 coupling ration fibers and fiber couplers with FC/APC connectors. Notable features include low excess loss, small package size, and high polarization extinction ratio. The PMC Series couplers are commonly used for optical sensors, optical amplifiers and fiber gyroscopes. Please note that these couplers only work with light launched into the slow axis.
