Thorlabs has taken its most popular Ø1" UV fused silica plano-convex lens, housed it in a laser-engraved SM1-compatible lens tube, and packaged it into kits. The lens, which is laser quality with a 40-20 scratch-dig surface finish to ensure minimal scattering, is has an antireflection coating for the 290 - 370 nm range. UV-grade fused silica offers high transmission in the deep UV and exhibits virtually no laser-induced fluorescence (as measured at 193 nm), making it an ideal choice for applications from the UV to the near IR.

Each black anodized lens housing features external SM1 (1.035"-40) threading, making it directly compatible with the multitude of Thorlabs mounts and housings that feature the SM1 thread standard. In addition, the housings are laser engraved with the item number, lens type, focal length, and antireflection coating range (if applicable).
