Features
- High Extinction Ratio and Laser Damage Threshold
- Ø12.5 mm
- Unmounted
- Resistant to UV Radiation and Chemicals
This Thorlabs’ Nanoparticle Linear Film Polarizer is comprised from spherical ellipsoid nanoparticles that have been embedded in sodium-silicate glass, thereby generating a polarizing effect. It offers superior performance compared to conventional, polymer-based polarizers. While both conventional and nanoparticle polarizers absorb the light that is polarized perpendicular to the transmission axis, the nanoparticles have a significantly higher damage threshold and a dramatically better extinction ratio.
