The board level controllers of the ITC133 combines a low noise, low drift current source with a precise TEC controller on a single eurocard-sized board for easy integration into OEM applications. The analog interface offers easy access to set parameters and read-outs. The ITC133 controller is designed to be integrated into products or systems where a semiconductor laser operation requires excellent stability of the laser emission.
The ITC133 controller supports operation in both constant current (CC) and constant power (CP) modes, all laser and monitor diode polarities (CG/AG) are supported as well. To ensure the best possible performance, laser diodes are driven with fixed ground offering significant advantages regarding noise, transient suppression and stability. Laser injection current can be modulated externally. The temperature controller features a full PID feedback loop with independent P, I, and D settings for optimization of temperature settling characteristics. All standard temperature sensors (AD590, LM335, thermistor) are supported. The ITC133 OEM board offers full connection access via a standard 64-pin PCB connector. This connector provides all output signals as well as analog control inputs, power supply connection and outputs to connect laser and monitor diodes, temperature sensor and thermoelectric cooler element. In addition, a 15 pin D-Sub connector allows connection of the laser to the ITC133 board using a single cable.
The ITC133 has a laser current control range of 0 to ± 3 A and a maximum power of 18 W.
