The FSC103 axial force sensor with a grooved mounting platform is force sensing cells that can be used to position an optical fiber with respect to another device in the direction of the optical axis. When the fiber makes contact with the device, a force arises that is detected by the cell, generating an electrical signal that is sent to the actuator controller to indicate that the desired position has been reached. These cells mount in the tongue-in-groove of post assembly AMA034 and can also be used on the NanoMax™, PiezoBlock™, RollerBlock™, and MicroBlock™ systems. The FSC103 platform is compatible with the entire family of flexure stage accessories. The TSG001 T-Cube Strain Gauge Reader is ideal for monitoring the output of the stage's sensor.
