Features
- Provides Near Abberation-free for One-to-one Imaging
- Direct Laser Diode to Fiber Coupling
- 600 - 1050 nm AR Coating
This Thorlabs’ fiber coupling lens pair provides an easy and effective solution for coupling a laser diode to fibers with a numerical aperture above 0.16. To provide the ability to easily launch the light from the divergent output of a diode to a multimode fiber the mounted lens pair consists of two lenses, one with a numerical aperture of 0.55, for the laser side, and the other with a numerical aperture of 0.16, for the fiber side. The combination of the high NA, short focal length and the lower NA, longer focal length reduces the NA of the emitter by the ratio of the focal lengths. The size of the emitter is simultaneously magnified by the inverse of this same ratio. This lens pair is pre-aligned and mounted in a metal housing with an external M9 x 0.5 thread on the side designed to face the laser diode.
