An erbium-doped fiber laser running at 100 MHz repetition rate, Thorlabs’ C-Fiber-A is an ideal choice for demanding applications in the ultrafast world of science and industry. The C-Fiber-A is a passively mode-locked state-of-the-art laser which offers turnkey operation through an embedded microcontroller. The freely configurable optical ports give plenty of flexibility for solutions to laboratory needs.
The C-Fiber-A is well suited for applications such as; time-resolved spectroscopy, diagnostics and imaging in biology and medicine, time distribution systems and THz generation/THz spectroscopy. By adding the SYNC100 option to the C-Fiber-A, the cavity length becomes tunable, and the repetition rate can be synchronized to an external pulsed source. An integrated stepper motor allows for coarse adjustment, and with the help of the piezo actuator, the repetition rate can be fine-tuned and locked to an external reference frequency.
