The Thorlabs Iso-Plate Vibration Damping System is designed to offer a moderate amount of bench top vibration isolation. This system consists of two products:
An untapped honeycomb plate with stainless steel top that is designed to support the imaging system and provide broadband damping of acoustic vibrations that have coupled to the imaging system.
A light but strong mild steel base with pneumatic system designed to isolate the untapped honeycomb plate from vibrations coupled to the bench or table.
The pneumatic system comprises four inflated cushions, of which a pair has a coupled air reservoir and the remaining pair is independently inflated. This arrangement provides stable, three point dynamics to the system.
The standard Iso-Plate System includes a size matched base and an untapped honeycomb plate. If there is a need for a traditional optical breadboard surface with an array of 1/4"-20 or M6 threaded holes, you can select the required breadboard from our line of Optical Breadboards and then purchase an Iso-Plate Base separately.
