Zoom

The PRM05 is ideal for mounting our SM05PM5 polarizing prism mount, which features compatible SM05 threading. The cover on the SM05PM5 can be rotated, thereby allowing the user to block the two side ports when they are not required.

The PRM05 can be purchased bundled with our SM05PM5 (Item# PRM05GL5 below); together, they provide 360° of high precision rotation for either our GL5 or GT5 polarizing prisms (sold separately). The PRM05 and PRM05GL5 are also available in metric versions.

The PRM05GL5 consists of our PRM05 rotation mount (featured above) and an SM05PM5 polarizing prism mount. The SM05PM5, which features external SM05 threading, is directly compatible with the PRM05. Its rotating cover allows the user to block the two side ports when they are not required. The PRM05GL5 provides 360° of high precision rotation for our GL5 and GT5 polarizing prisms (sold separately).

The PRM1 is ideal for mounting either our SM1PM10 or SM1PM15 Polarizing Prism Mount, both of which feature compatible SM1 threading. It can be purchased bundled with our SM1PM10 (Item# PRM1GL10 below), which together provide 360° of high precision rotation for either our GL10 or GT10 polarizing prism (sold separately).

The PRM1 is also compatible with our 30 mm cage system. The unit can be mounted to a cage system using ER cage assembly rods attached to the four front face taps. The PRM1 and PRM1GL10 are also available in metric versions.

Zoom

Thorlabs' PRM1Z8 mount uses a DC motor for fast (up to 25 deg/sec), accurate (±0.1°) rotation. It is available with or without a T-Cube DC servo motor controller, which can be used independently or connected to a computer via USB. Please see the full product presentation for more information.

The rotating platform features several accessories. The central aperture has a standard SM1 internal thread, for compatibility with a range of optics. Four #4-40 holes are provided so that the PRM1Z8 can be incorporated into a cage system. Additional threaded mounting holes allow for the addition of accessories or post mounting.

The PRM1SP1 (PRM1SP1/M) accessory plate is fixed to the rotating top plate by two 6-32UNC (M3) bolts (supplied), allowing any of Thorlabs' standard 3 mm tongue & groove accessories (optic mounts, diode holders, fiber chucks etc) to be used. Using this plate, the total deck height becomes 1.1" (28 mm).

The PRM1SP3 base plate is similar to the PRM1SP2 described opposite, but delivers a total deck height of 2.26" (57.5 mm). If used together with the PRM1SP1 described above, the deck height is 2.43" (62.5 mm) and is compatibe with our range of 3-axis stages (NanoMax, MicroBlock, PiezoBlock and RollerBlock).

The PRM1SP2 base plate is used to provide a more stable installation solution, with a deck height of 1.15" (29 mm). If used together with the PRM1SP1 described above, the deck height is 1.32" (34 mm).
