Our Mounting Platforms for 34 mm Rails adapt standard optomechanics into a 34 mm rail system. The XT34D2-30 is a 30 mm long dovetail mounting platform with a single, centered, 1/4" (M6) counterbored hole, appropriate for mounting posts, pedestal posts, or post holders. The XT34D2-50 is a 50 mm long dovetail mounting platform with three counterbored 1/4" (M6) holes, providing additional mounting options.

These platforms fasten to a 34 mm rail by using an XT34 dovetail clamp. Because the platforms have minimal height, the caps of standard 1/4"-20 or M6 cap screws protrude from the dovetail if they are installed. Thorlabs therefore recommends that low-profile cap screws, which feature a reduced cap height, are used instead. These are offered in both 1/4"-20 and M6 varieties below.
