Nikon F-Mount Adapter Ring
SM2 (2.035"-40) External Threading

Thorlabs' SM2MFM F-Mount Adapter integrates Nikon F-Mount lenses into a variety of applications that use Thorlabs' optomechanics. The quick connect/disconnect adapter securely holds a Ø35 mm lens assembly, locking the assembly in place with a spring-actuated lever. The SM2 (2.035"-40) external threading on the rear provides a convenient way to attach Ø35 mm Nikon F-Mount optics to SM2-threaded components, such as lens tubes.

Response from Jeremy at Thorlabs: The SM2NFM is not compatible with the Canon EF mount. I have posted this idea in our internal forum and we will look into the possibility of carrying this.

Hello, is this mount compatible with Canon EF lenses?, if not it would be good to have the product in the future, since EF mounts are very popular these days. John.

We will add your request to our internal product design forum. In the meantime, depending on your assembly, we may be able to combine several products to achieve the same effect. Can Thorlabs offer the reverse of this adapter? I would like to mount an SM2 system on an F-mount camera.

Unfortunately, a mount that would be compatible with a Minolta lens is not currently in the pipeline. However, we do have an internal forum for suggesting new product ideas, and I have entered your idea into that forum for consideration. That being said, currently, the only way to obtain such a mount would be to provide us with drawings. We would then show those to our machinists and have them produce a quote. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.

i found your site on a photo forum where somone was hoping to use A Minolta MD lens with this mounting system. I wish you made this in a Minolta MD mount also. The Minolta MD Lenses and glass is just as good as the Nikon lenses, and Abundantly available online in the used market. In most cases Minolta is half the price or less thain the nikons , and the higher end, faster lenses are even less thain the comparible Nikon ones. I know a few people that would buy this. I myself would want 2.

It is not easy to see that this part also has SM2 series threads, i would suggest this be detailed in the main presentation, currently the only reference seems to be on the drawing that is offered on the Drawing tab.
