Our FiberBench Polarization Controller allows you to transform an arbitrary input polarization state into an arbitrary output polarization state. The controller uses our FiberBench (FB-51W) with two FiberPorts mounted onto a HCA Wall Plate. Three RZB Retarder Modules are used to alter the polarization state in a 1/4-wave – 1/2-wave – 1/4-wave configuration. By changing each of the retarders you are able to change the polarization state.

Unlike the conventional fiber paddle controllers, this controller can be used with PM or SM fiber without the need for splicing. Additionally, it benefits from the advanced design of the FiberBench series and has high thermal and mechanical stability. The continuous, 360° rotation and the precise control offered by the RZBQ allow the user more control and a more stable platform than is possible with the paddle controllers.
