Features

Thorlabs' AR-Coated Multimode patch cables feature AR-Coated fiber ends in SMA connectors. The AR coating leads to better transmission and improved return loss. These cables are perfect for fiber-to-free space applications such as spectroscopy and collimation / coupling using our FiberPorts, fixed aspheric collimators, reflective collimators, large-beam collimators, or any other collimating / coupling optics.

Since SMA connectors use an air gap, these cables also offer improved transmission and improved return loss in fiber-to-fiber applications, and are perfect for use with our ADASMA or ADASMAB2 SMA mating sleeves.

For increased durability, these cables incorporate stainless steel protective tubing. Each patch cable includes two protective caps that shield the connector ends from dust and other hazards when not in use. Additional CAPN Fiber Caps for SMA-terminated ends are also sold separately.

We also offer AR-Coated Single Mode Patch Cables with FC/PC or FC/APC coated connectors. Note: The data presented to the right is typical. Actual reflectivity will vary slightly between different AR-coating production runs.
