Thorlabs offers Drop-in Filter Cubes for the most popular Olympus and Nikon fluorescence microscopes. Please see the compatibility table below to determine the correct filter cube for your application. The filter cubes hold one Fluorescence Filter Set, which includes a Ø25 mm emission filter, Ø25 mm excitation filter, and 25.2 mm x 35.6 mm dichroic mirror. Optics can be mounted, aligned, and swapped out easily. Assembly manuals for the Olympus MDFM-MF2, Nikon MDFM-QFXL, and Nikon MDFM-TE2000 microscopy cubes are available below.

These drop-in filter cubes are offered as empty mounts but if a Thorlabs Fluorescence Filter Set is purchased at the same time, we will premount the optics at no additional charge. In order to take advantage of this option, please contact Technical Support prior to ordering. Other sets may be ordered and interchanged by the user. Other excitation filters (Ø25 mm, 5.0 mm thick), emission filters (Ø25 mm, 3.5 mm thick), and dichroic mirrors (25.2 mm x 35.6 mm x 1.05 mm) may be used in the filter cubes for specific wavelength applications.

Can you offer also filter cubes for a Leica DM RBE microscope. Size of cubes "L", cubes A4, L5, N3 and Y5?

Youre missing the point. I have lots of preloaded Oly, etc filtercubes in microscope turrets and stored on the shelf. It would be nice to pop these into a tabletop adapter rather than taking the filtercube apart, extracting the filters, and then taking a Thor cage/cube assembly apart and then remounting them and reinstalling them in a Thor tabletop setup. A filtercube-ready adaptor would be much much more convenient.

We actually offer a variety of components that allow for mounting dichroic filters (26-43 mm long) and 1" diameter excitation/emission filters onto an optical table.
