The FiberTable is an extremely versatile foundation for numerous miniature fiber optic systems. It is designed to hold multiple input and output couplers as well as various optical components. The all-stainless steel construction ensures both mechanical rigidity and thermal stability. For simpler systems requiring only one input and one output, we recommend using our FiberBench.
The X-Y Tweaker Module can be used with a FiberTable or a FiberBench and allows for the compensation of beam drift by enabling up to ±500 µm of positional displacement parallel to the optical axis.
X-Y Tweaker Module
Tilt angles in excess of 30º are not recommended, as they can cause insertion losses due to the angular dependence of the AR coating. From the plot it can be seen that at the maximum suggested tilt angle, the beam will be displaced parallel to the optical axis by ±500 μm for a 2.5 mm thick tweaker module.
Enables Precise Beam Steering with Micron-Level Precision
Vertical and Horizontal Beam Displacement
Three Wavelength Ranges Available
The X-Y Tweaker Module allows for quick and precise displacement of a beam parallel to the optical axis, thus enabling several hundred microns of positional correction due to source drifting. It consists of a precision-polished, AR-coated, plane-parallel plate mounted onto a magnetic ball and socket. These plates can be rotated and tilted in nearly any orientation, but tilting beyond 30º is not recommended because it can cause insertion losses as a result of the angular dependence of the AR coating. At the maximum suggested tilt angle the beam will be displaced parallel to the optical axis by ±500 µm.
Mounts in FT-SM05 Ø1/2" Optic Mount
1.5 mm or 2.5 mm Aperture Available
Aperture plates are a useful tool for system alignment. The aperture plate should be mounted into the FT-SM05 mount and then used to establish an optical center line in a FiberBench/FiberTable system. It is also useful for blocking stray light or other unwanted light in an optical system.
