Thorlabs' Fast Achromatic Doublet Pairs have been designed to achieve a higher NA and a shorter focal length than conventional doublets. The doublet pair used is optimized for achromatic correction and minimization of the spot size when used at an infinite conjugate ratio. Each of these doublet pairs is housed in a chrome-plated brass mount with the effective focal length engraved on it for easy identification.
The pre-mounting of these doublet pairs provides the added convenience of allowing them to be handled without having to worry about fingerprints or skin oils getting on the optics.

A response from Tyler at Thorlabs to mandeep.singh: 1) The FAC30125-A1 is not suitable for the UV spectral range since both the lenses and the optical cement will absorb the UV light. 2) The response of the AR coating outside of the specified range is not a controlled parameter during the coating of the lenses and as a result could only be specified by testing a specific part. 3) This part can be custom ordered with lenses that do not have an AR coating by contacting our technical support team and requesting a custom quote.
Since this achromatic lens pair is not suitable for UV light, I will contact you for additional information about your application in the hope that I can recommend a solution.

I am interested in the FAC30125-A1. However, I would like to use it in the range 250 nm to 850 nm. I have three questions:
1. Are the lenses/adhesives transmitting at 250 nm?
2. What is the response of the AR coating in the above spectral range?
3. Can I get an uncoated assembly?
Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Mandeep Singh
